June 2nd, 2003: A lot has happened, as you can imagine. I was in New York in Feb (marched against Gulf War II even), was in Amsterdam for a conference and all such stuff. Big things - barely noticeable - happened to vonbelow·com: It moved to a new server on which I have root privileges, which means I can (and have to) do all weird sorts of stuff. Not everything is set up to my total satisfaction (I will have to learn procmail), but besides the obvious things like WebDAV are running, and I am doing some mod_rewrite and other tricks. The Lemontree Diaries have not been updated for quite a while, but that is going to change. The tree is doing very well, for those who want to know.
A small Unix section has started, and will grow in appearance and content. Given that I have a slick way of updating this site via WebDAV now, updates should be more frequent from now on.
February 6th 2003: I installed a script on this site to show you if there are parasites (spyware) running on your machine. If there are, there will be a warning right on top of this text. For technical reasons, the automatic-detection feature can only work with IE/Win, with Active scripting and Run ActiveX controls enabled. (Other browsers and operating systems tend not to be so badly affected in any case.)
January 18th 2003: Me oh my, it's been awhile... The lemontree pages are still waiting for their update, but at least some of Steffi's and Alex' excellent trip! got updated. I will post more "Work in progress" in the future, so that at least something happens. Ah, right, the entrypage got an update for 2003.

November 28th 20022: The lemontree got company! Just in time for Christmas, I got myself a Pinea Glauca 'Conica'. If you entered through the main page you saw it already, I plan to update the picture as the tree gets decorated. Speaking of the lemontree, an update of the winter harvest will follow soon. August 5th, 2002 I got rid of all GIFs on this site, and suggest that you, dear reader, burn all gifs, too.
To further minimize the size of my PNGs, I used pngcrush. Now most of my PNGs are smaller than the old GIFs. Compiling pngcrush on MacOS X is a snap, however I will gladly send you a copy of my binary executable just for the asking.
